Prestwick Airport
Prestwick Airport
Prestwick Airport is large airport on the west coast of Scotland just south west of Glasgow. Prestwick is only a hub for one commercial airline, being Ryanair but there is something more unique about this place. It's long, 3km runway means it can welcome any size of aircraft and its position on the west coast means it attracts a lot of United States military who come in for fuel after a long transatlantic crossing.

It is always very quiet at the best of times but the impact of Covid has certainly not helped with even less commercial inbound and outbound flights.
Cargolux operate B747 most days into Prestwick moving essential cargo.
